Health & Safety

We have a wealth of experience managing safety and risk on sites ensuring works comply with relevant Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations.

We ensure projects are executed with the minimum risk to the health and safety of employees and others.

As PSCS, we properly plan, manage and co-ordinate work during the construction phase of the project to ensure that all risks both identified and unforeseen are controlled.

We fulfil the role of PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) by ensuring the following measures are in place:

Ensuring those appointed are competent

We carry out a self-assessment prior to commencing all contracts to ensure contractors can allocate adequate resources to fulfil the safety objectives of the project. We endeavour to satisfy ourselves of the competency of any party we engage to carry out work for the client, including contractors and anyone carrying out design on our behalf.

Contractor Supervision & Management

We manage projects in terms of Health and Safety by means of an experienced and competent Site Manager who will have received suitable Health and Safety training. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Site Manager is supported and assisted by our internal and external Health and Safety Advisers who share site visits on a regular basis.

Ensure safe working, coordination, and co-operation between contractors

As PSCS we have a duty to ensure safe working and co-ordination and co-operation between all parties involved on site such as designers, contractors and sub-contractors. This is an essential process to ensure that all parties working on the project are aware, on an ongoing basis, of what is expected of them, when it will be done and how.
